Project Uplift is an agency whose main goal is to help children develop constructive, happy lives so that the delinquency rate in our country will decrease. Project Uplift offers volunteer services to Lee County children at no cost to their families. Since opening in July 1973, almost 9,000 volunteers and children have participated in the program (presently, there are almost 600 people in the program).
Work Experience Completed
Graphic Design & Social Media: Throughout my semester interning with Project Uplift, I was tasked with creating event graphics and keeping the Project Uplift Instagram up to date by posting and answering messages.

Office Work: During the semester, I took on a range administrative responsibilities that supported the smooth operation of our program. I organized and filed paperwork for new applicants, conducted regular bi-weekly and monthly check-ins with parents, tracked mentor behavior through Excel reports, responded to emails, and contributed to planning and organizing upcoming events.
Mentorship: On top of interning with Project Uplift, I have been a mentor in their program since 2022, having the privilege to mentor two little girls alongside my freshman-year roommate at Auburn University. Throughout my time mentoring for Project Uplift, I have grown and felt a tremendous amount of gratitude and humility. I have had the privilege of watching a family grow up, and I would not trade my time with them for the world!
